Solid partnership
The Netherlands is currently the number one shipbuilding country of Europe in number of vessels on order and ordered tonnage (CGT). Dutch maritime suppliers have also benefited greatly from the worldwide growth of the shipbuilding industry. Their combined turnover was 5,7 billion euro in 2008. Some 23.100 persons are employed in the industry and ready to be of service to you!
There is much confidence that we will be able to continue shipbuilding in the years to come. The industry has set up a 5 point strategy in order to remain competitive:
- Point 1: Compete by talent
- Point 2: Sustainability and innovation
- Point 3: Synergy in the maritime cluster
- Point 4: Co-operation with the government
- Point 5: International branding of Dutch shipbuilding
The Netherlands will continue to be a high-tech, innovative and dynamic shipbuilding market. At home and abroad.
Masters of innovation
The Netherlands have a long tradition in the production of innovative maritime solutions. As a seafaring nation we have always excelled in marine technology. Product development, cooperation, and expansion of know-how are the strengths of the Netherlands’ maritime industry.
All participants present in the Holland Pavilion are pleased to welcome you and discuss new business opportunities or renew existing relations. The combined knowledge of the companies present will most certainly be able to bring you into contact with the right person, company or network.
Be welcome!
